📷 Camera & Filming Setup
Canon R50 with 50mm Lens (Vlogging Camera)
When I want cinematic shots with sharp focus and a beautiful blurred background, I use my Canon R50 with a 50mm lens. It’s perfect for talking-head videos, product close-ups, and polished B-roll. The kit lens 18-45mm is great for wide and medium shots
iPhone 12 (Great for Fast UGC Videos!)
For authentic, quick, and engaging UGC content, I rely on my iPhone 12
Most brands actually prefer phone-shot videos because they feel more organic and relatable on social media.
💡 Lighting Setup
Natural Light (Because It’s Free & The Best!)
I always film near big windows because natural light gives the softest, most flattering look—no harsh shadows, no extra cost.
Clip-On Light (Perfect for Even Lighting!)
For nighttime or dim settings, I use a clip-on LED light that attaches to my phone or camera. It keeps my face and products evenly lit for a pro-quality look.
Ring Light & Softbox Setup
For studio-quality lighting, I use a ring light or softbox lights—especially for skincare, hair, and product-focused content.
🎤 Audio Equipment
Wireless Microphone (For Crisp, Clear Sound!)
Bad audio can ruin a great video. I use a wireless lav mic for clear, professional-sounding voiceovers and talking-head videos without background noise.
On-Camera Mic (For DSLR Recording)
When using my Canon R50, I attach an external shotgun mic for next-level, crystal-clear audio.
📱 Editing & Content Organization
CapCut (My Go-To Free Editing App!)
I do 90% of my UGC video editing in CapCut—it’s free, super user-friendly, and has all the text, effects, and transitions I need.
VN Video Editor & InShot (For Quick Edits)
When I need alternative editing tools, I use VN Video Editor or InShot for quick, simple edits.
Google Drive + Drop Box (For Storage + Easy Content Delivery to Clients)
While Dropbox is my main storage hub, I also use Google Drive to send files to clients and organize brand collaborations.
My current External Storage
Canva (For Portfolios & Thumbnails!)
I recommend Canva to make UGC creator portfolios, video thumbnails, and social media graphics that look clean and professional.
🎬 Tripods & Filming Accessories
Phone Tripod (For Stable Hands-Free Filming!)
A sturdy phone tripod helps me shoot demo videos, product showcases, and B-roll—keeping my footage steady and professional.
Phone Mounts
Flexible Tripod (For Overhead Shots & Creative Angles!)
I also use a bendable, flexible tripod to film grocery shopping, overhead shots for cooking videos, unboxings, and hands-on content. This thing wraps any and everywhere!
🔗 Flexible Holder
Gimbal Stabilizer (Stable Shots in Motion) TOP 3 INVESTMENTS!
Standing Desk (For Filming While Walking on My Treadmill!)
Since I create lifestyle & wellness content, I use my standing desk and indoor treadmill to shoot natural, everyday content. Also heavy editing and administration days are much more healthier on a walking pad!
🛋️ Backgrounds & Props
My Home Setup (Bright, Clean Aesthetic)
I film everywhere! kitchen, living room, and on my deck because these spaces have great natural light and minimal distractions.
White Backdrops (For Professional Product Shots!)
For skincare, beauty, and product UGC, I use simple white to keep the focus on the product.
Props (To Add Depth & Interest to My Videos! There's an art to this!)
I use props to create aesthetic, engaging UGC content:(will create a seperate blog list for this!)
Plants & Candles – Adds warmth & lifestyle feel
Books & Notebooks – Great for productivity content
Glass Cups & Trays – Perfect for pour shots & skincare displays
